As the name suggests, the Writer’s Hut is perfect for use as a writer’s retreat but also as a home office, reading room, art studio or somewhere simply to enjoy your morning coffee. While smaller than standard Plankbridge models, it is still very much a multifunctional space.
Our Writer’s Hut model was first launched at RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2012, where it was part of our very own Dorset-inspired Artisan Garden, designed by Woolcott and Smith and awarded a Silver Medal.
Since then, the little red Writer’s Hut has lived a quiet life – first in the garden of Way’s Forge in Piddlehinton, the holiday cottage owned by our co-founders, Jane and Richard; then at Horrell & Horrell, a farm-to-fork restaurant in Sparkford, Somerset; and now as Richard’s office in a quiet corner of the Plankbridge workshop.
Find out more about the original Writer’s Hut in our blog post.
The Plankbridge Standard Writer’s Hut (8ft x 5ft) with space for a fitted desk, storage and a cast-iron oil-filled radiator costs £26,200 including 20% VAT.
