For this use, our traditional Snug model is usually the most popular. With timeless tongue and groove walls and a woodburner for comfort and atmosphere, The Snug represents shepherd’s hut living at its most versatile – a beautiful blank canvas to furnish and decorate as you please. Scour local antique shops and flea markets for, perhaps, a wrought-iron bed and wooden desk, requisition a favourite armchair from home and add your own personal touches. Of course, we can also furnish your Snug in-house, with a pull-out daybed and a fitted desk.
If you’re looking for a space purely for work, our 16ft Studio hut features a beautiful handcrafted oak folding desk on which to work your creative magic. This hut will allow you the freedom to draw, play, paint, craft or write, uninterrupted by the distractions of the outside world.
For those with a little less space to work with, or after a hut with the ‘cute factor’, The 8ft Writer’s Hut is a lovely option for a garden office too. In fact, The Writer’s Hut was recently pictured in The Times as part of an article highlighting Plankbridge as one of the ‘Best British-made garden furniture brands in 2025’. Each of these designs allows you to reduce the burden on your home, whilst also often removing the need for planning permission and building work. Instead of your bog-standard garden shed for bikes, the lawn mower and garden tools, we can also offer a hut that is not on wheels, giving you a practical ‘garden shed’ that is as pleasing to look at as it is to use.
