For those who prefer their retreats with a slightly more contemporary edge, The Ridge House is a reimagining of the traditional Victorian shepherd’s hut. Retaining classic features like the cast-iron wheels, our designers have updated the familiar curved roof with a pitched corrugated-iron design to create a striking, modern silhouette. Clad externally in beautifully textured black weatherboard, this stylish hut will enhance any garden or boutique glamping setting.

At the heart of the Ridge House is a fully glazed gable end that frames uninterrupted views of the countryside, so guests can wake up in the comfort of a king-size bed, the doors open wide as they enjoy their morning of cup of tea, and feel totally immersed in nature. Designed for convenience as well as comfort, the Ridge House features a handmade fully fitted kitchen with solid oak worktop, Belfast sink and everything you need to prepare meals, along with a dining and seating area. A beautifully tiled en-suite shower room completes this self-contained retreat, making it ideal for long weekends or longer stays.

A highlight of the Ridge House design is its sense of airiness, created by natural light flooding through the glazed gable end and the vaulted ceiling above, supported by elegantly crafted double queen-post trusses. Soft, built-in lighting – including a pair of reading lights set into the bespoke headboard – adds a quiet layer of luxury, reflecting the care and craftsmanship that has gone into every element of the build.
