As Standard, our huts are fitted with beautifully durable European oak floors, doors and windows, which are seasoned, handmade and oiled here in Dorset. Our standard shepherd’s hut interior also includes shades from our very own colour card, based on what we know works well and will be truly timeless.

We choose fixtures and fittings from trusted brands such as the Wall Lighting Company, and are often asked for customised options from Pooky, Jim Lawrence or Rocket St George, for example. Project Lead Kate and Head of Creative Hannah are happy to advise and will make every step of the decision-making process as easy and enjoyable as possible.
All our furniture is designed and made in our Dorset workshop. Our talented team of furniture makers have experience working in several of the famous Dorset workshops. We use only sustainable, temperate hardwoods and softwoods. Oak, Ash and Douglas fir are favourites.
Just like our furniture, our kitchens are all designed and handmade in our Dorset workshop. We have two different standard options for the finish – limewash-look Watermill or painted from the Plankbridge colour card. Customers can choose from a fully fitted Guest House kitchen with sink, fridge, oven and hob, or Weekender design with fridge and coffee station.

A Plankbridge bathroom is more than just a practical space, it’s a cosy sanctuary, handcrafted with the same care and attention to detail that we pay to all our designs. Our Standard huts and cabins are panelled with tongue and groove in a colour of your choice with an oak floor and feature a high-power electric shower, ceramic wash basin and WC with oak toilet seat.
There is also the option to customise your bathroom to create a look that is uniquely yours, using handmade tiles, paints and bathroom products from leading interiors brand Fired Earth, who will bring your design vision to life through their bespoke design service. Paint and tile samples are all available to view at the Plankbridge workshop.
Other examples of Exceptional fixtures and fittings we have integrated into our huts and cabins over the years include copper roll-top baths, bespoke vanity units, underfloor heating and outdoor showers. Speak to our friendly design team to see how we can create your dream bathroom.

We have a wonderful long-standing relationship with Fired Earth, whose local Sherborne team often assist in our customised interior projects. A choice of tiles that tie-in with our colour card is available to view at our workshop, or we are very happy to send you moodboards and examples.
We recently collaborated on an exciting photoshoot in one of our bespoke huts, a beach house that is now in Sardinia.

For several years, we have had the pleasure of collaborating with Piglet in Bed, showcasing their beautiful bedding, throws and bathrobes in our shepherd’s huts at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show. The brand’s ethos and aesthetic align perfectly with the character our huts and cabins. Here is what the Piglet in Bed team had to say:
