Meet the Team – Josh

Our brilliant Procurement Manager Josh always has a smile on his face and is a hugely valued member of our team. Josh started at Plankbridge as a carpentry and joinery apprentice before he began in-house vocational training with the Institute of Supply Chain Management.

What is your role at Plankbridge?

As Procurement Manager, I’m responsible for the steady flow of materials that the hutmaking team need to build the huts. I manage the stock and supplies.

Do you have a favourite shepherd’s hut model?

A 16’ Cabin with a bed and small kitchen area is my favourable hut design. It feels traditional and when it’s slotted in the right scenery it looks like it’s always been there.

Best things about working at Plankbridge?

The people in the Plankbridge family (everybody gets on so well and there is a great atmosphere); the feeling of achievement when huts are finished and the customers are happy; and finding solutions to any problem as a team. The end-of-month cook-up is a massive bonus and brings the team together on a social basis, which is really nice.

Josh also helps out with deliveries and site visits sometimes

What is your favourite colour from the Plankbridge colour card?

My favourite is Coppice Smoke I love not only the colour but the name, it gives me a warm vibe.

What do you do in your time off and weekends?

I play rugby for Dorchester Rugby Club and I train twice in the week. I also enjoy going to the beach and have been paddle-boarding over the past few summers.

Favourite place to eat locally?

The Barn Café in Lychett Matravers – it does a great full English breakfast.
