Today is the final day of RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2026 and we wanted to take some time to reflect on what has been a brilliant week in the heart of London. We started off strong with Press Day 2026. This is our 14th year exhibiting at RHS Chelsea Flower Show and, as always, Press Day was full of many memorable highlights…
This year, we collaborated with three brilliant British companies on our trade stand. It was wonderful to finally meet the lovely Bryony and Lucy from Piglet in Bed who we have partnered with for the last three years (There was even a cheeky discount code inside the hut). They posted a lovely round-up of their day which you can see here.
Brand & Communications Manager Georgie from Lewis & Wood visited us too. Lewis & Wood dressed the bed with their gorgeous new throw, based on designs at The American Museum in Bath. We also featured a section of their charming new Folklore wallpaper above the desk.
Throughout the day we welcomed a whole host of public figures and their families. It is always a pleasure to share what we do at Plankbridge and our love for craft and heritage.
In the afternoon, members of The Royal Family popped by during the Private View. The King stopped to talk to Richard and Hannah and spent some time reminiscing on The Prince’s Trust days. Richard trained in fine furniture making at Hooke Park College in Dorset, founded by the celebrated designer John Makepeace, and in the early days of his career received invaluable support from the Prince’s Youth Business Trust. What a way to end a wonderful RHS Chelsea Press Day 2026.
On Tuesday, Director of The Urban Garden, Matt and Training Coordinator Sophia visited from Bath. This is the third year working with The Urban Garden and this year a group of six trainees, from one of their free City & Guilds courses, had the opportunity to be actively involved in the planting scheme. We have had such a wonderful response to the planters, with many people stopping to photograph them. We were awarded a brilliant 3 stars by the RHS judges. And of course, we’ve met so many people and had many interesting conversations about shepherd’s huts and cabins. From home offices in the city, to bespoke accommodation for a new glamping business, we’ve been so pleased to share how our huts and cabins can solve your need for extra space and allow you to get closer to nature.
