We are delighted to be working with Bath-based social enterprise The Urban Garden for the RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2026 – the third year working together on this project. The partnership will provide six local trainees – many of whom are facing mental health challenges or long-term unemployment – with the opportunity to be actively involved in the planting scheme of the Plankbridge Chelsea 2026 trade stand.
Under expert guidance they will gain invaluable hands-on experience in designing and preparing a trade stand, offering a rare insight into the craftsmanship, planting choices and meticulous planning required at one of the world’s most prestigious horticultural events. This initiative reflects the transformative power of horticulture – not just in shaping beautiful landscapes but in nurturing confidence and wellbeing. Throughout the project, they will design the planting scheme for three planters – all with different aspects and themes.

“To be able to offer this year’s trainees the opportunity to work on this project is incredible, as it will give them real insight into the design process, planting choices and practical considerations needed for a live show garden.”
Sophia Rowe, Training Co-ordinator at The Urban Garden
“This is the third year we have worked with The Urban Garden. We are so pleased to support the wonderful work that Matt, Sophia and the team do in Bath. It has been great to see this year’s group get so excited and hands-on with the project.”
Hannah Lee, Head of Creative at Plankbridge
The final design will be on display at Ranelagh Gardens RA644, at RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2026 from Tuesday 19 May – Saturday 23 May 2026. We hope to see you there!
