Between us the ten strong team at Plankbridge have an MSc. in Forest Products (Design and Manufacture) gained at John Makepeace's pioneering college in West Dorset, diverse college training and approaching 100 years of combined carpentry, fine furniture, timber building and metalwork experience. We distill all this to make superb quality huts with the best possible finish.

Gustav Stickley, an Arts and Crafts maker in the early 1900s, aimed to produce work that ‘would be first of all practical and comfortable, that would last a man’s lifetime, without being much the worst for wear; the kind of things one could take pride in handing down to one’s grandchildren.’ We endeavour to carry over this approach into our work.
